Holdfast / Privacy
Privacy policy
This policy covers the Holdfast iPhone game and its website at games.evolc.com. It describes the version of the game with Google AdMob advertising and optional Meta ad measurement; development and test builds may use sample ads or disable advertising.
Who is responsible
Holdfast is operated by 7SEGMENTS s.r.o., Trnková 12, 040 14 Košice, Slovakia; company ID (IČO) 46580018, VAT ID SK2023492207. Registered in the Commercial Register of the City Court Košice, section Sro, file no. 42931/V. For support or privacy requests, contact hi@evolc.com.
Game progress stays on your device
The game stores campaign progress, gold, upgrades, boons, settings and advertising frequency counters locally on your device. These records let the game remember your progress and settings and limit how often ads appear. Holdfast does not require a game account, and we do not operate a server that receives your campaign save. Local data remains until it is reset, removed with the app or otherwise deleted by your device. Device backups may retain app data according to your Apple settings.
In-app purchases
Optional purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase; War Chest adds 5,000 gold for Armory upgrades and can be purchased repeatedly. The game verifies Apple transactions and stores purchase entitlement status and credited transaction identifiers locally to restore ad removal and avoid crediting the same gold purchase twice. We do not receive your payment-card details. If you separately consent to Meta ad measurement and grant Apple tracking permission, completed production purchases may be reported to Meta as described below.
Advertising and Google services
Holdfast uses Google AdMob to display full-screen ads at breaks between battles, and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage relevant privacy notices and choices. Ad availability and personalization depend on your choices, region and device settings.
According to Google’s SDK disclosures, its advertising SDK may process IP-derived approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad views and interactions, product interactions, performance information and crash diagnostics. Google uses advertising data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and operate and improve its services. The app does not request your precise location. If you opt in to Meta measurement, it requests Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission before enabling Meta events. Apple’s permission may also affect the identifiers available to advertising SDKs.
Google and participating advertising partners may receive information needed to deliver and measure ads. Their processing, international transfers and retention are governed by their policies and the choices presented to you. Read Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps and the Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosures.
Optional Meta ad measurement
If you enable Allow Meta measurement in Privacy choices and grant Apple’s tracking permission, Holdfast uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure and improve Facebook and Instagram advertising. The SDK sends app installation and activation information, a device advertising identifier when permitted, basic app/device and connection information, battle mode, tier, outcome and stars, first coached-battle completion, and verified new purchases with product identifier, price and currency. Meta may associate these events with information from other apps and websites for advertising measurement and optimization. We do not send your campaign save, name, email or a game-account identifier to Meta.
Meta measurement is optional and starts only after both permissions are granted. It is separate from Google’s ad privacy choices and from buying Remove Ads. You can continue playing with measurement off. Reopen Privacy choices to withdraw Meta consent; this stops new gameplay and purchase events and their transmission through the app. Previously submitted or in-flight information cannot be recalled by this setting. You can also change tracking permission in iOS Settings. Meta controls its own processing, retention and international transfers; see Meta’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s information about activity from other businesses.
Your advertising choices
Where required, the game presents a privacy message before requesting ads. You can reopen Privacy choices in the war map’s flag menu, Armory, battle pause screen, banner-choice screen or end-of-war screen. You may change or withdraw Meta consent there, and open Google ad privacy choices when available. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Depending on your choices, ads may be less personalized, limited or unavailable. You can continue playing if no ad is available.
Website and support
This website does not include advertising scripts, analytics, tracking pixels, external fonts or nonessential cookies. Its hosting provider, Hetzner in Germany, processes technical connection information such as your IP address and requested URL to deliver and secure the website. If you email us, we process your email address, message and any attachments to respond and resolve the request. Please avoid sending sensitive information.
Purposes, legal bases and retention
We process information needed to provide requested game features or respond to support requests on the basis of providing the service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), where applicable. Website security and essential technical operations rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Advertising-related access to or storage of information and personalization rely on consent where required. Any necessary legal recordkeeping relies on our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Optional Meta measurement relies on your consent. Google’s and Meta’s policies explain their own processing and legal bases.
Local game records remain under your device’s control. We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request, resolve related issues or comply with applicable obligations. We keep technical security information only as long as necessary for operation, troubleshooting and security. Google and Meta determine retention for information they process under their policies; resetting a local game save does not delete their records.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data we hold about you, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Email hi@evolc.com. We may need enough information to verify and handle your request. Because we do not receive your local campaign save, we cannot identify or retrieve that save from a server.
You may complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work, or to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic. For data Google or Meta controls, consult their privacy controls and request channels.
Children and changes
If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. We will update this policy when the game or its data practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request new consent.
