The Moon Throws Back / Privacy

Privacy policy

Effective and last updated: 5 November 2026

This policy covers the The Moon Throws Back iPhone game and its website at games.evolc.com. It describes the version of the game with Google AdMob advertising, optional in-app purchases, anonymous play statistics and optional Meta and TikTok ad measurement. Development and test builds may use sample ads or have advertising turned off.

Who is responsible

The Moon Throws Back is operated by 7SEGMENTS s.r.o., Trnková 12, 040 14 Košice, Slovakia; company ID (IČO) 46580018, VAT ID SK2023492207. Registered in the Commercial Register of the City Court Košice, section Sro, file no. 42931/V. For support or privacy requests, contact hi@evolc.com.

Game progress stays on your device

The game stores stars, campaign progress, your best Endless score, settings, purchase status and advertising frequency counters locally on your device. These records let the game remember your progress and settings and limit how often ads appear. The Moon Throws Back does not require a game account, and we do not operate a server that receives your save. The anonymous play statistics described below are separate from your save and cannot restore it. Local data remains until it is reset, removed with the app or otherwise deleted by your device. Device backups may retain app data according to your Apple settings.

In-app purchases

Optional purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit: Remove Ads, and the Comet and EMP Charge weapon unlocks. All are one-time purchases that can be restored with the same Apple Account. The game verifies Apple transactions and stores the resulting entitlements locally. We do not receive your payment-card details.

Advertising and Google services

The Moon Throws Back uses Google AdMob to display full-screen ads at breaks between levels, and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage relevant privacy notices and choices. Ad availability and personalization depend on your choices, region and device settings.

According to Google’s SDK disclosures, its advertising SDK may process IP-derived approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad views and interactions, product interactions, performance information and crash diagnostics. Google uses advertising data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and operate and improve its services. The app does not request your precise location. Apple’s tracking settings may affect the identifiers available to advertising SDKs.

Google and participating advertising partners may receive information needed to deliver and measure ads. Their processing, international transfers and retention are governed by their policies and the choices presented to you. Read Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps and the Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosures.

Anonymous play statistics

To see which levels are too hard, where players stop and whether the game works on different devices, The Moon Throws Back sends play statistics to our own analytics service (Cheese, operated by us and hosted by Hetzner in Germany). The statistics are tied to a random install identifier created by the app. It is not your advertising identifier, and it is not linked to an Apple Account, name or email address.

We collect screens viewed; level start, end and quit (level, result, stars, time, throws and base hits); cutscenes watched or skipped; ads shown; purchases (product and price); app version, iOS version, device model, language, time zone and an approximate country derived from your IP address when the data arrives. The IP address is not stored; only a one-way hash is kept, to filter abuse. We use these statistics only to understand and improve the game. They are not used for advertising, not shared with advertising partners and not sold.

Play statistics are on by default. You can turn them off at any time with Share anonymous play statistics in Privacy choices; the app then stops sending them.

Optional Meta and TikTok ad measurement

The Moon Throws Back includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK and the TikTok Business SDK to measure whether our own advertising on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok leads to installs. Both are off unless you opt in on the Privacy choices screen and also grant Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Automatic event logging is disabled.

When both permissions are granted, the SDKs may send your device advertising identifier, basic app and device information, app opens, levels reached and tutorial completion, and verified new purchases with product, price and currency. Meta and TikTok may associate these events with information from other apps and websites to measure and optimise ads. We do not send your save, name, email or a game-account identifier. To withdraw, reopen Privacy choices or change tracking permission in iOS Settings; this stops new events but cannot recall information already sent. See Meta’s Privacy Policy and TikTok’s Privacy Policy.

Your privacy choices

The Privacy choices screen appears once at first launch, and the game presents Google’s privacy message before requesting ads where required. Reopen Privacy choices any time from Settings → Privacy choices to turn play statistics or Meta and TikTok measurement on or off, and to open Google’s ad privacy choices where available. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Depending on your choices, ads may be less personalized, limited or unavailable. You can keep playing if no ad is available, and Remove Ads stops ads entirely.

Website and support

This website does not include advertising scripts, analytics, tracking pixels, external fonts or nonessential cookies. Its hosting provider, Hetzner in Germany, processes technical connection information such as your IP address and requested URL to deliver and secure the website. If you email us, we process your email address, message and any attachments to respond and resolve the request. Please avoid sending sensitive information.

Purposes, legal bases and retention

We process information needed to provide requested game features or respond to support requests on the basis of providing the service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), where applicable. Website security and essential technical operations rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Anonymous play statistics rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the game (Article 6(1)(f)); you can object at any time by turning them off. Advertising-related access to or storage of information and personalization, and optional Meta and TikTok measurement, rely on your consent where required. Any necessary legal recordkeeping relies on our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Google’s, Meta’s and TikTok’s policies explain their own processing and legal bases.

Local game records remain under your device’s control. We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request, resolve related issues or comply with applicable obligations. We keep technical security information only as long as necessary for operation, troubleshooting and security. Play statistics are deleted automatically 24 months after they were collected (backup copies roll off within 7 days after that), or earlier on request. Google, Meta and TikTok determine retention for information they process under their policies; resetting a local save does not delete their records.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data we hold about you, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Email hi@evolc.com. We may need enough information to verify and handle your request. Because we do not receive your local save, we cannot identify or retrieve it from a server.

You may complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work, or to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic. For data Google, Meta or TikTok control, consult their privacy controls and request channels.

Children and changes

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. We will update this policy when the game or its data practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request new consent.
